I was part of a massive company layoff due to out of state acquisition. I have just exhausted my 26 weeks of unemployment comp. I am, of course, seeking new employment. Can I re-file or extend my benefits or am I simply out of luck? Thanks for your guidance!
No, once exhausted, there are no further benefits until you work again.
I received a notice of decision in the mail from ct department of labor following my phone hearing due to accrued vacation pay. It states that I’m not eligible from June 4 – June 17, because of the vacation pay I received. Will unemployment benefits begin the following week? Please help, thank you.
Yes, you are dq’d only for that vacation week.

If you were discharged from your job, apply for benefits at the CT website. If you quit your last job and are not starting the new job for a week, you are not eligible for benefits.
